Constable Brobeck was born and raised in Mosheim, and has lived in the 6th District his entire life. Matthew has spent his adulthood giving back to the community he calls home. He has served in all fields of public service, including law enforcement, firefighting, and emergency medical response. Matthew became an Emergency Medical Technician in January of 2015, and since being elected the 6th District's Constable, completed multiple hundreds of hours of training in law enforcement competence, execution, and professionalism. Matthew is also an Armed Security Guard, licensed by the State of Tennessee.

Constable Brobeck resides in Mosheim with his family. He enjoys the outdoors and exploring all of the natural attractions our wonderful community has to offer. Matthew spends his free time taking care of his chickens, and his German Sheppard, Sarge.

Constables across the State of Tennessee lobbied to require ourselves to maintain training comparable to our partner law enforcement agencies, according to TCA §8-10-202; Constables must complete 40 hours of In-Service Training every 12 months. In 2024, I was overjoyed to have completed: over 127 hours of training.

This training was in various areas of law enforcement integral to the proper administration of justice in our community, including but not limited to: 4th Amendment Search and Seizure, Constitutional Criminal Law and Procedure, Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVOC), Precision Tactical Vehicle Operations, Child Sexual Abuse Identification, Components of Child Abuse Investigations, Indicators of Child Abuse and Investigative Strategies, Law Enforcement De-Escalation, Field Sobriety, Active Threat Calls and the Fire Dispatcher, Crisis Intervention for Mental Illness, Ethical Leadership, and Performance Standards and Measures.
